BOXING, Shandong Province, Sept. 26, 2024 -- A delegation of African diplomats visited Boxing County in Shandong Province from September 24 to 26, as part of an initiative to promote the "National Foreign Trade Transformation and Upgrading Base" in Boxing. This event was organized by the China Chamber of Commerce of Metals, Minerals & Chemicals Importers & Exporters (CCCMC) .
The delegation included ambassadors and senior diplomats from Namibia, Mauritius, Zambia, Kenya, and Uganda. The three-day event aimed to strengthen economic ties between China and African nations, with a focus on Boxing's metal sheet industry.
During the visit, a welcome banquet and the unveiling ceremony for the base's workstation were held. Officials from both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on enhancing China-Africa trade cooperation and promoting Boxing's metal sheet industry internationally.
Chinese representatives expressed their commitment to showcasing Boxing's high-quality products to African countries and supporting local enterprises in expanding their global presence. The African diplomats, in turn, stated their intention to gain a deeper understanding of Boxing's development and explore new avenues for cooperation.
"This visit provides an excellent opportunity to broaden the scope of China-Africa cooperation and elevate our partnership to new heights," said the Namibian Ambassador to China, speaking on behalf of the African delegation.
The visit aims to explore potential areas of cooperation between Boxing County and African countries, particularly in the metal sheet industry sector. Both parties expressed their eagerness to pursue further exchanges and collaborations in trade, culture, and other fields, aiming for mutual benefits and shared prosperity.
