On September 7th, 2022, CCCMC Vice Chairman Liu Danyang visited the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in China upon invitation and met with Mr. Saeed Alghfeli, Head of Economic Affairs Section of the UAE Embassy in China regarding the promotion of economic and trade cooperation between the UAE and China. 

Mr. Saeed Alghfeli welcomed the visit of Vice Chairman Liu. He introduced that since the establishment of bilateral diplomatic relations 38 years ago, the two countries have made great achievements in political, economic, cultural, scientific and technological exchanges, among other fields. China has become the largest trading partner of the United Arab Emirates, with bilateral non-oil trade volume exceeding 60 billion US dollars in 2021. Currently, the UAE is committed to a reform of diversifying the economy and looks forward to further cooperation with China in many sectors. He said, we hope to keep close contact with CCCMC, in contribution to enhancing bilateral trade and investment and promoting common prosperity. 

Liu Danyang thanked Mr. Saeed Alghfeli for his suggestion and briefed on the basic situation of CCCMC and its positive role in promoting industry development and member enterprises’ efforts in China’s "Going Global" initiative. He pointed out that the United Arab Emirates is an important country to for the "Belt and Road" Initiative, and trade between the two sides will show a comprehensive, rapid and in-depth development trend. In the future, we hope to keep regular exchanges with the UAE Embassy in China, and provide support for bilateral trade and investment exchanges. 

Liu Danyang also introduced the 2nd Economic and Trade Cooperation Forum to be held by CCCMC this November, and invited the relevant person in charge of the United Arab Emirates Embassy in China to attend the forum and introduce the UAE’s trade and investment policy and environment.  

The attendees also included Economic Researcher Mr. Eihab Omer, Economic Researcher Mr. Bashir Modanov, and Ms. Charlotte Hsu, Secretary to the Head of Economic Affairs Section of the UAE Embassy in China, Director Yin Liyong and Ms. Gui Jing of the Liaison Department of CCCMC.
