On April 19, 2024, the delegation formed by senior officials from Tanzania, including members of Chama Cha Mapinduzi Party (CCM), provincial party secretaries, and governors, visited the Alliance. Organized by the Alliance, the Tanzanian delegation, comprising over 20 members, visited member companies of the Alliance including Beijing Construction Engineering Group International and China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation, as well as the Africa Tourism and Culture Center and Hao Hua Cultural and Creative Park. Executive President Diao Chunhe of the Alliance accompanied the delegation during their visit.
In the morning, President Diao accompanied the Tanzanian delegation to visit and hold discussions at Beijing Construction Engineering Group International and China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation. Gao Qiang, Chairman of Beijing Construction Engineering Group International, and Wang Xiangdong, Deputy General Manager of China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation, extended a warm welcome to the delegation accompanied by the Alliance.
The Tanzanian delegation visited the exhibition halls of the two companies, where they were briefed through presentations, promotional videos, and other formats. This provided them with a comprehensive understanding of the business development and social responsibility initiatives of both companies.
During the company meetings, President Diao highlighted to the Tanzanian delegation the outstanding performance of two Chinese companies, China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation and Beijing Construction Engineering Group International. He emphasized that these companies consistently uphold high standards in project implementation, achieving commendable results. Their capabilities in fulfilling contracts and responsibilities are widely recognized, particularly in terms of fulfilling social responsibilities, which has earned high praise from the Tanzanian local government and people.
President Diao expressed his hope that through the platform of the Alliance, more Chinese companies can establish effective communication channels with Tanzania, facilitating further cooperation in the future.
Manager Jia Xianghui from Beijing Construction Engineering Group International and Deputy General Manager Wang Xiangdong from China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation respectively introduced the company's historical evolution, landmark projects in Tanzania, and their efforts in fulfilling social responsibilities. They emphasized that 2024 marks the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Tanzania. Both groups have deeply cultivated in Tanzania for many years and are committed to mobilizing high-quality resources to complete projects at a high standard. They aim not only to construct high-quality engineering projects but also to balance economic and social benefits, ensuring that local communities benefit from their development achievements.
Mohammed Aboud Mohammed, Central Committee Member and National Executive of CCM, expressed gratitude for the presentations by the two companies. He mentioned that through this visit to Chinese enterprises, delegation members have gained deeper insights into representative Chinese companies operating in Tanzania. He highly praised the excellent business capabilities and pragmatic approach of both companies in project construction in Tanzania and globally. Mohammed emphasized the longstanding friendship between the peoples of China and Tanzania, highlighting the broad prospects for future cooperation between the two countries. He expressed hope that Chinese companies would increase investment in Tanzania's development, and assured that the CCM Party of Tanzania would facilitate multidimensional cooperation between the two sides.
The Tanzanian guests enthusiastically participated in discussions, creating a lively atmosphere during the event.
In the afternoon, President Diao accompanied the Tanzanian delegation to visit the Africa Tourism and Culture Center and the Hao Hua Cultural and Creative Park. African guide from the center briefed the Tanzanian officials on its efforts to promote cultural exchanges, economic cooperation, and friendly relations between China and Africa.
At Hao Hua Cultural and Creative Park, General Manager Huo Daoqiang introduced the park's unique blend of natural ecology and modern cultural creativity. He also highlighted the park's ongoing efforts in public cultural development and enhancing service capabilities to meet evolving needs.
Following this, the Alliance and the delegation members engaged in a dinner party. During this time, President Diao provided a detailed introduction to the Alliance's background and its achievements. Since its establishment, the Alliance has been dedicated to promoting high-quality development of China-Africa economic and trade cooperation, contributing to the realization of a community with a shared future for humanity. Through a model called "industrial cooperation + social responsibility + shared outcomes," the Alliance has been urging Chinese enterprises in Africa to actively fulfill their responsibilities, balancing local livelihood development alongside business growth.
President Diao expressed hope that the Tanzanian government and enterprises could leverage their strengths, mobilize resources, and actively share the latest economic and trade information with the Alliance to facilitate project implementations. The Alliance is willing to collaborate closely with the Tanzanian government and the Chama Cha Mapinduzi Delegation to advance high-quality development in China-Tanzania economic and trade cooperation.

He acknowledged that the Alliance plays a unique and indispensable role in China-Africa cooperation. Through this visit, delegation members gained a deeper understanding of the Alliance's influence and capabilities. He highlighted Tanzania's favorable business environment and promising development prospects, noting the country's abundant mineral resources. However, he pointed out the challenge of converting these resources into tangible products due to insufficient mining capacity and technology. He mentioned plans to establish a working group, aiming to initiate cooperation with the Alliance at the earliest opportunity.
Shandong Foreign Trade Vocational College Diao Jiandong hosted the luncheon. Vice President Liu Zhonghui of the Alliance, Vice President Liu Xiangfei of Shandong Foreign Trade Vocational College, and Feng Xinxin, General Manager of the Africa Tourism Center, attended the event.
