On August 3, 2022 BJT, Fortune announced the Fortune Global 500 list for 2022. China Minmetals has been shortlisted for the 16th consecutive year with an operating income of $131.8 billion, and jumped to the 58th place, up 7 places from the previous year, setting a new record.

In 2022 annual ranking, China Minmetals claims the second spot in the metal industry. The top three in the metal industry are China Baowu Steel Group Corporation Limited, China Minmetals Corporation and Amer International Group.

In 2022, the entry threshold of Fortune Global 500 was $28.6 billion, up 19.2% from the previous year. The total operating income of companies on the list reaches about $37.8 trillion, up 19.2% year on year, representing the biggest gain in the list’s history.

It is worth noting that the number of listed companies from Greater China reached 145 in 2022 (including 9 companies from Taiwan), so China continues to claim the top spot among all countries in this regard. For the first time, revenues from Global 500 companies in Greater China (including Taiwan) exceeded revenues from U.S. companies on the list, accounting for 31% of the total.
