In order to implement the important consensus reached by the heads of state of China and Belarus, and in accordance with the work requirements of the Eurasian Affairs Department of the Ministry of Commerce of China, to further strengthen the trade cooperation between China and Belarus in the metals, minerals & chemicals industry with a view to effectively "stabilizing foreign trade", on August 7, 2020, CCCMC Vice Chairwoman Qian Jingfen and her group visited the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in China and met with charged 'affaires ad interim Ms. Kharlap Tatyana.

Ms. Kharlap Tatyana said that the Embassy of Belarus in China hopes to implement the consensus reached by the two heads of state as soon as possible, elevate the trade level of China and Belarus in an all-round way, increase the export of Belarus to China, and attract Chinese enterprises to invest in Belarus. In the next step, the Belarusian Embassy in China will sort out the preferential policies information on investment and trade in Belarus and provide it to CCCMC. It is hoped that CCCMC will give priority to promoting the above information in the related industry.

Qian Jingfen introduced the relevant situation of CCCMC with a focus on the trade between China and Belarus in the metals, minerals & chemicals industry, saying that potash fertilizer is a key commodity in the trade between the two countries. CCCMC will also enhance economic and trade cooperation between the two countries in respect of other metals, minerals & chemicals commodities while doing a good job in promoting the trade of potash fertilizer between China and Belarus.

The two sides agreed to hold the Sino-Belarus trade and investment forum online in late September.

Third Secretary of the Belarusian Embassy in China Artsem Hrabko, CCCMC Director Zhang Airong, Deputy Director Wei Qiuji and Deputy Commissioner Li Ning, attended the meeting.
